In another first for WCSC, coach Robert Bogus' U-13 boys advanced to the State Cup round of 16. State Cup is the highest level that U-13 boys can play in the state of Florida. The boys finished the weekend 1-1-1 with a 1-0 victory over Cooper City (Region A); a 1-1 tie with Miami Strike Force (Region A); and a hard fought 3-2 loss to RSL (Region C). The parents, players and coaches are to be congratulated for their accomplishments. Now they are on to the sweet 16 Mother's day weekend. Way to go!!
Four Region C Finalists,
Two Region C Champions!!
What an exciting weekend of Region Cup Soccer!! Once again, WCSC reached new heights with it's first ever Division One Region Cup Championships!! The U12 Boys (vs FSC and pictured to the left) and U16 Boys (vs Lehigh), won tough fought games to bring home both championships. The U11 boys (vs Naples) and U11 girls (vs ICSA, pictured below right), also played in the division one finals and played extremely hard, but came up on the short end of the scoreboard.
Congratulations to all of our teams' players, parents and coaches for a great weekend of soccer. Good luck to the U12 boys and U16 boys as they battle for the State President's Cup in their respective age groups. We are all very proud all of our teams. Go Flames!!
