U12 Girls Red Win Division I

U12 Girls Red finished in 1st place in Division I after two matches versus West Pasco and West Florida Premier. After the celebration the girls now go into Region C pumped up and ready to fight for the title. Good job girls!

The Invincibles! Undefeated WSCS U14 Bring Home Silverware in Two Leagues!

Wesley Chapel Soccer Club’s U14 Flames Red team won a “double” this past weekend winning both the United Soccer Association (USA) Premier U14 division AND the Florida State League (FSL) U14 division in undefeated fashion! The boy’s play and league records earned them the nickname: The Invincibles!, similar to Arsenal FC, who won the English Premier League without a loss.

Wesley Chapel won the USA Premier League on Saturday by winning their 9th game in 14 matches. They totaled 9 wins, 5 draws and no defeats in the league for 55 points topping neighboring Plant City Lancers and Lutz Rangers. In fourteen games, the Flames only gave up 7 goals while scoring 24 with 8 shutouts! The USA league is the top league in Region C covering 17 counties on the Sun Coast.

The Florida State League is a state-wide league broken out in divisions. The Flames played teams covering the northern half of the state from Gainesville, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Indian River, Orlando and Tampa. They finished the season on Sunday with two more victories. Their season totals were 6 wins, 2 draws and no defeats for 20 points topping second place Indian River. The boys scored 19 goals while giving up 5 in 8 league games with 4 shutouts.

This is the team’s second year playing in the 11v11 format and the first under Coach Robert Bogus who also doubles as the club’s Director of Coaching (DOC). Together, in both leagues, the team won 15 games and tied 7 games while outscoring their opponents 43-12 with 12 shutouts. The team only had two games in which opponents scored more than one goal against them.

Congratulations to the Wesley Chapel U14 Flames, The Invincibles!, for going 22 matches without a league loss!

TARSA U16 Champions

On Saturday, February 4th, the WCAA Titans defeated the New Tampa Fusion by a score of 4-1 to win the TARSA U16 Co-Ed Championship.  This is the second consecutive championship for the Titans.

Four Wesley Chapel Soccer Players named to the Florida Olympic Development Program State Team!

Four players from the Wesley Chapel Soccer Club's U14 team were named to the Florida ODP State Team. The players from left left to right are Daniel Hrenko, Maurice Lewis, Morgan Vraspir and Devi Ndrita. The players are flanked by their coaches, assistant coach John Hrenko on the left and head coach and DOC Robert Bogus on the right.

For Daniel, this is his second year making the state team in two attempts. This is his third year both at Wesley Chapel and as a goalkeeper. This is Maurice and Devi's first attempt at trying out for ODP. For Maurice, this past year was his first full year with the club as a defender. Devi has been with the club since U10 and plays midfield. Morgan recently joined the WCSC U14 team as a winger and this is his second year making the ODP State team.

Congratulations to all the boys and good luck in Alabama! We are proud of each of you for making the team and for all of the boys who tried out!
